SME Music Warranty Policy

At SME Music, we stand behind the quality of our products. Here's how our warranty protection works:

Standard Manufacturer Warranty

All products sold through SME Music come with their original manufacturer warranty. This typically covers manufacturing defects and failures during normal use:

  • Most electronic music equipment: 12-24 months (varies by manufacturer)
  • SynthRISE stands and accessories: 24 months
  • Cables and smaller accessories: 12 months

The SME Protection Promise

For select products marked with our "SME Protection" badge, we extend coverage beyond the standard manufacturer warranty:

  • Extended Coverage Period: Additional 12 months beyond manufacturer warranty
  • Enhanced Support: Priority troubleshooting assistance from our technical team
  • Simplified Claims Process: We handle manufacturer warranty claims on your behalf

What's Covered

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Component failures during normal use
  • Electronic malfunctions not caused by misuse

What's Not Covered

  • Accidental damage
  • Water or liquid damage
  • Physical damage from drops or impacts
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from improper use or modification
  • Consumable parts (faders, pots after normal wear)

Making a Warranty Claim

  1. Contact Us: Email info@sme-music.co.uk with your order number and a detailed description of the issue
  2. Initial Troubleshooting: Our team will provide initial support to determine if the issue can be resolved remotely
  3. Return Authorization: If necessary, we'll issue a return authorization and provide next steps
  4. Resolution: Depending on the situation, we'll repair, replace, or process a return to the manufacturer

Proof of Purchase

Always retain your order confirmation email as proof of purchase. For warranty claims, you'll need to provide:

  • Order number
  • Date of purchase
  • Description of the issue
